Fink started his career as a fellow with the American Civil Liberties Union in Philadelphia. He subsequently entered private practice, working in the litigation departments of Drinker Biddle & Reath, as well as several other Philadelphia-area law firms. While in private practice, Fink represented both SLAPP victims and SLAPP – back plaintiffs.

Fink currently serves as general counsel at AG Interactive, Inc., the new media subsidiary of American Greetings Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio. His practice currently concentrates on Internet law, licensing, intellectual property, and corporate governance. He is a frequent speaker and writer on Internet Law. Recent publications include Anonymity on the Web: How Companies Respond, Practicing Law Institute, Seventh Annual Internet Law Institute, 927-954 (Jul. 14, 2003); Eighth Annual Internet Law Institute 411–436 (July 13, 2004); The Name Behind the Screen Name: Handling Information Requests Relating To Electronic Communications, 19 Comp. & Internet Lawyer 1 (Nov. 2002); and Festo and the Future, Legal Times 2002 Corporate Counsel Roundtable, Legal Times 28 - 30 (Mar. 18 2002).

Fink earned his B.A. from Vassar College in 1984, graduating cum laude. He received his J.D. cum laude from Cornell Law School in 1988, and served as Symposium Editor of the Cornell International Law Journal. From 1988 to 1990, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Avern Cohn of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

From 1995 through 2000, Fink served on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania ACLU, and currently serves on the Board of the SLAPP Resource Center of Denver, Colorado.
